Ready for a unique group experience? Grab your crew (4–16 players) and host a private mahjong lesson filled with fun, learning, and plenty of laughs. Amanda will bring everything you need—tiles, racks, cards, and expert instruction—to get you playing like a pro. You pick the location (a travel fee applies outside the Austin–San Antonio corridor), provide the snacks and drinks if you’d like, and we’ll handle the rest. Instructor Amanda Reed will walk you through the fundamentals, including how to recognize the dots, craks, and bams, how to deal and trade tiles during the Charleston, and key gameplay rules like how to use Jokers.

AMANDA REED
Amanda Reed is a passionate American Mahjong Instructor based in New Braunfels, Texas dedicated to sharing her love for the game with others. From the moment she discovered Mahjong, Amanda was captivated by its strategic depth. Leveraging her background in education and exceptional social skills, she brings the game to life, guiding beginners through the fundamentals of Mahjong.
She is a devoted wife to Jason and a proud mother of Luke and Sofia. Amanda's children attend New Braunfels Christian Academy. In addition to teaching and playing mahjong, she is an enthusiastic member of the John Newcombe Country Club, where she enjoys playing tennis multiple times per week.
